Each peer helper will be paired up with a participant of one of our employability programs to give her extra moral and linguistic support throughout her job search. You help the participant stay focused and motivated throughout her job search. You provide English and/or French language support. . You create a safe, confidential and supportive environment to help strengthen the participant’s confidence, transferable skills and autonomy.

Volunteer once a week, from august to february 2017, 1 hour per week, flexible schedule. A commitment of six months is essential. You will undergo a free 15-hour training session (on 2 days). You have an excellent command of English and/or French and a demonstrated interest in career development. You are able to work with the participant to set objectives and follow an action plan. You can prepare meetings and evaluate the participant’s learning progress. You demonstrate active listening, empathy, patience, sensitivity to cultural diversity and flexibility. Draft a monthly progress report. Make an overall assessment at the end of the mentoring partnership. You are 20 or older.

The mission of the organization is to offer access to various services and programs which aid women of all ages and all nationalities in areas of personal development and leadership.
